Note: The Illinois Commerce Commission has given approval for MidAmerican Energy Company to add back a rebate for window air conditioners for 2013. The rebate is effective Jan. 1, 2013 – Dec. 31, 2013. MidAmerican Energy will file a new energy efficiency plan with the Illinois Commerce Commission in July, at which time it will be determined if a rebate for window air conditioners will be available after 2013. The 2013 rebate for an ENERGY STAR®-rated window air conditioner is $25.

MidAmerican Energy's EnergyAdvantage® Residential Equipment program makes it easier for you to afford new heating and cooling equipment. The installation of new equipment can save money on energy bills and make homes more comfortable.

MidAmerican Energy customers in Illinois may qualify for rebates for newly installed energy-efficient:
  • Air-source heat pumps
  • Window and central air conditioners
